We report herein the isolation, structure determination, and biological activity of the new isolates. In addition, the validity of the CD data to determine the configuration of the secoiridoid derivatives is discussed on the basis of systematic comparison of the CD data combined with a single-crystal X-ray crystallographic analysis of the co-occurring secologanic acid using anomalous scattering of Cu Kα radiation.
