The trifluoroacetamide group is one of the more useful amides because of the ease in which it may be removed under mildly basic condition. Otherwise, it is stable to acidic condition such as TFA.

cleavage condition:
1. K2CO3 or NaCO3, MeOH, H2O, rt.
2. LiOH.H2O, THF, MeOH, H2O, rt.
